January 27 2017
A thesis exhibition in which a room is created from wood and plastic sheeting. The sculptures inside, fabricated from steel, wax, and fabrics, are actively melting within the enclosure. Aided by body heat and heating devices, the sculptures sink, melt, and dissolve in an irreversible manner. The objects perform a transition for the viewers, disseminating the possibility of individual rebirth while contemplating the self as prop, self as subject of dissection, and self as spectacle.
